Essential Oil Stills
Winequip have Alembic Essential Oil Stills available in a range of sizes to meet the requirements of commercial to first time essential oil producers.
Essential Oils are produced through steam distillation, where the oils are extracted from organics by passing steam generated in a pot still through plant material. Using steam for alcoholic distillation permits the distillate to retain flavours and aromas that would otherwise break down at higher temperatures, making it the ideal process for extracting essential oils from aromatic plants.
